For the Indigenous Tohono O'odham of southern Arizona and northwestern Mexico, Mount Lemmon is known as Babad Do'ag or Frog Mountain. It is the highest point in the Santa Catalina Mountains located in the Coronado National Forest north of Tucson, Arizona. Mount Lemmon's geology is made up of Bolsa Quartzite, Dripping Spring Quartzite and a local sandstone and conglomerate. Sherdine Tsatte's perched horned Owl has been sculpted from a Mount Lemmon found stone to a size of about 3" tall, 5/8" wide and 2 1/4" deep. Watchful eyes are from jet in mother-of-pearl.
