Melvin Sandoval's busy prairie dog has been sculpted from a dolomite with fascinating dendritic inclusions and a rich display of sunset and dark burgundy layered colors. A nugget of turquoise flanked by melon shell beads make up the offering bundle of thankfulness for prairie dogs who are a keystone species. Through grazing and burrowing, they help Mother Earth with nutrient cycling and improve the overall health of grasslands. Their homes are repurposed by sweet ground Owls and other animal life. About 3 1/8" long, 1" wide and 1 1/8" tall.
