The bountiful corn harvest is underway thanks to Corn-Maiden's generous sustenance that ensures no one will go without. Sculpted from one lovely fish rock serpentine specimen, Cheryl Beyuka's stunning piece is double-sided. The Corn Maiden's pot is filled with delicious ears of ripe corn carved from apple coral, turquoise and mother-of-pearl. Facial features are from jet inlays, while little necklaces are set with more jet and turquoise inlays. Blankets or shawls have incised designs centered with turquoise, jet and apple coral. Dimensions of this honoring work are about 3 3/4" tall, 3" wide and 1 1/8" deep.
