Seven glorious Corn-Maidens, some with feathers in their hair, rejoice in a season of bounty. Happy faces are from mother-of-pearl, etched and filled with jet paste. Dancing Dragonflies and star elements also adorn. Small inlays from turquoise, lapis and alunite add bright color and can be seen on the back of the shell, demonstrating an impressive ability and patience to inlay on such a thin and delicate material like iridescent abalone. Its organic curvature is stunning by the way. Presented on a handsome onyx base, measurements in their entirety are approximately 5 3/8" tall, 5" wide and 2 1/8" deep.
