Zuni tradition teaches that long ago Corn-Maidens saved the People from famine and drought by nourishing them with sacred corn kernels from their bodies. Scott Garnaat's lovely Corn Maiden has been carved from Picasso marble with a star-etched shawl set with turquoise inlays. Facial features are set with turquoise as well. About 3 3/8" tall, 1" wide and 7/8" deep.
