Pinolith is a rare semi-precious stone said to have healing properties. In Zuni worldview, healing properties are attributed to
Badgers because they live underground among the beneficial roots. What a meaningful combination of stone and animal to represent getting well. Carved by Andres Lementino, the turquoise-eyed badger measures about 2 1/4" long, 1 1/4" wide and 3/4" tall. Tiny claws are from turquoise inlays, while a heartline or breath path is from colorful coral, spiny oyster shell, jet and pipestone.
