Prized Kingman turquoise from Arizona has been carved into a coral-eyed scorpion who emerges from a rocky hiding place. Indigenous cultures have revered and used turquoise for thousands of years, as it symbolizes a piece of the sky and life-giving water. A gorgeously worked segmented tail has a warning stinger on the tip, while eight legs will move quickly to find a good hibernation spot as the days grow colder. We're honored to share this fabulous gem that measures about 4 1/4" long, 3" wide and 2" tall, by carving great Herbert Him, Sr.
