Kenric Laiwakete
Otter animal medicine teaches us to float through the unpredictability of life without letting the current take us too far out. Like otters who form a raft, we too must tether ourselves to the people we love. Kenric Laiwakete's floating otter is detailed and carved from apatite to a size of approximately 4 1/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1 3/4" tall. Gorgeous alternating heartlines or breath paths as well as eyes are from apple coral inlays. A pen shell offering is held in the paws of this colorful water friend.
Herbert Halate
Herbert Halate's etched-whiskered river otter emerges from a grassy bank in a flat-footed gait similar to Bears. When otters need to move across terrestrial places, they're surprisingly fast reaching around 18 mph. Sculpted from white marble, this turquoise-eyed water creature leaves a trench as it drags a muscular tail on Mother Earth. About 2 3/8" long, 1" wide and 2" tall.
