Joel Pajarito, Kewa (Santo Domingo)
These gorgeous earrings host hand symbols in their centers, and can be symbolic of unity and a shared existence. They're all handmade by Joel Pajarito who is an accomplished jeweler from the well-known Mary C. Lovato family of award-winning Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo artists. His father is respected jeweler Anthony Lovato. Joel's approximate 1 3/4" long and 3/4" wide earrings for pierced ears, were produced in the tufa cast jewelry method. Cutting a tufa stone in half, smoothing out both surface sides, carving a sprue hole on top, then carefully carving out this hand design, molten sterling silver was then poured in. Signed by the artist
