Frogs date back more than 200 million years in the fossil record. They are one of Mother Earth’s most visually stunning life forms. Rising global temperatures, habitat loss and pathogens have set in motion the fast decline of many frog populations. We can do our part in helping them. Sensitive skin that absorbs pollutants from the water and the air means we can steer clear of toxic pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides that can harm frogs. Carved frogs are regarded as rain-bringing for A:Shiwi (The People). David Chavez, Jr.'s precious water creature has been sculpted from augite in serpentine. Discerning eyes are from turquoise inlays and nostrils are drilled. About 2 3/8" long, 1 3/8" wide and 5/8" tall.
