Corn-maiden fetish earrings are carved from golden amber. This hard translucent fossil resin is derived from extinct coniferous trees that occur in Tertiary deposits. Ancient insects and other interesting organic matter can be found trapped in amber. Including the hook fixtures, these
corn-honoring earrings dangle at about 2 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and 3/8" deep. Facial features are from jet and turquoise inlays.
