Bison are family members who embody the interconnectedness of all living things. They have always given abundantly of themselves in sustenance and spirit. Artist Vince Chavez recently dropped by our Keshi gallery with a fresh batch of stunning animal carvings sculpted from stones and minerals originating from Zuni lands. This approximately 6" long, 1 1/4" wide and 4 1/4" tall bovine is one of them. The Zuni travertine is beautifully polished revealing hypnotic dotted inclusions and rich coffee-hued veins. Soulful eyes are from turquoise as blue as the Zuni skies.
