Eagles soar high and see great distances illustrating the need for us to see beyond the superficiality and to understand the deeper things in life. Daryl Shack, Sr.'s wise eagle (or Hawk) sculpted from calcite can be a tangible reminder of this important animal medicine. A piercing gaze is from cultured opal inlays. About 4 3/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 2 1/4" tall.

Herbert Halate
A sharp hooked beak is essential to an Eagle's (or Hawk's) successful hunt. Eagles rub their beaks on rocks and branches, a behavior called feaking. This keeps them in tip top shape, sharp and clean. Herbert Halate's raptor is well-equipped with a gorgeously carved beak, while turquoise inlaid eyes go the distance. We love the softly texturized plumage and tail feathers. A cylindrical turquoise offering is a handsome addition to this approximately 4 1/4" long, 1" wide and 1 1/8" tall bird of prey carved from lightly fragrant cedar wood.
Elfina Lowsayatee
A fast moving river releases a turquoise-eyed fish to a mighty Eagle's (or a Hawk's) powerful talons in a dynamic scene carved from one portion of Picasso marble. The noisy current is creatively represented by crushed turquoise, while the underwater world is a stunning mosaic from branch red coral, turquoise, sterling silver, mother-of-pearl, orange spiny oyster shell, jet and sparkling cultured opal inlays representing air bubbles. The great hunter's eyes are from inlaid turquoise and mighty wings are intricately detailed. Measurements of this unique work are approximately 3 3/8" tall, 1 5/8" wide and roughly 3 1/8" deep, by master carver Elfina Lowsayatee.

Cameron Kalestewa
Powerful Eagle (or little brother Hawk) keeps watch over Zuni Pueblo as depicted in multi-media artist Cameron Kalestewa's pine woodwork and bright acrylic wall hanging that's intricately burnt in the pyrogravure art technique. Pyrography is the art of producing a design on wood by applying heat and pressure. A medium gaining new popularity among artists in recent years, pyrogravure literally means “writing with fire” with origins that go back to the earliest days of humankind used by ancient craftsman from Peru, Egypt and China. Cameron is one of the best pyrographers in Zuni. Other harmonious details include mighty Bear, quick roadrunner, a Zuni Sunface abstraction, tracks and feathered arrow elements. Measurements are about 9 3/4" long including the lovely beaded loop with turquoise, 8 1/2" wide and 1/2" deep. Signed by the artist.

Todd Westika
Found only in Western Australia, mookaite jasper is from a deposit on private land at Mooka Creek. Said to energize with life-force vigor, this gorgeous natural material is made up of different minerals and fossilized substances, most notably tiny aquatic plankton called radiolaria. Leave it to noted Zuni artist Todd Westika, who graduated from New Mexico Tech with a background in geo-engineering, to carve stunning mookaite jasper into this glorious Eagle (or Hawk) fetish necklace. His passion for rocks and minerals draws him to work with unusual stones. Each amazing raptor has eyes from sterling silver inlays. The center bird with spread wings is approximately 1 3/8" long and 1 5/8" wide, while the side raptors perch at roughly 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" long. Lovely sky blue turquoise, sterling silver and red coral beads accompany the birds on this collectible necklace that's about 30" long. Signed by the artist.
