A professor of botany and chemistry Nicola Covelli (1790-1829) found himself interested in geology and volcanology especially at Mount Vesuvius in southwestern Italy. Lava studies led to the discovery of Covellite which is a rare copper sulfide with inclusions of golden pyrite. It is a naturally occurring superconductor. Master carver Brian Yatsattie's metallic blue Covellite Bear is a supercharged friend measuring about 2 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 1 3/4" tall. In nature, powerful bears are extraordinarily intelligent, dominant predators with sharp memories and superior navigation skills.
