Travis Nieto's father the late carver Vern Nieto and brother Frank Nieto descend from the greater Natewa, Dallas Quam and Panteah families of noted Zuni Pueblo artists. Travis' creative ancestry is evident in a darling Bear cub hewn from an attractive serpentine. Fine-lined engraving works beautifully for fur detail. Alert eyes are from turquoise inlays.
