A self-taught carver for over 30 years, Salvador Romero has quite the following as collectors just adore his essential aesthetic. He says a favorite part of the creative process is creating something from nothing. One of his signature pieces are Bears with hearts. He recently brought by a loving bear with a removable heart offering. Both the bear's and the heart's texture is fabulous. Small holes are fun to investigate perhaps warranting a visit with the magnifying glass. Together they measure about 6 1/4" tall, 1 1/2" wide and 2 5/8" deep. The removable heart itself is roughly 1 7/8" long and 1 1/2" wide. A fabulous 2-piece set from found stone.
