Mockingbird Katsina is known as Yapa or Yaupa, a spirit that figures in Hopi Katsina ceremonies. Mockingbird is credited as the spirit being who first taught mankind to speak. The word 'peace' is thoughtfully painted on one leg. Signed by the artist, this small woodwork including base is approximately 2 3/8" tall, 1 3/4" wide and 1 1/4" deep. Signed by the artist.
