A curved iridescent smokey mother-of-pearl shell has been carved into a glorious Harvest Grandmother and Maiden Grandmother by Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez. A traditional headdress called a tablita is designed with etched stars and a Dragonfly. The Maiden Grandmother's hair is whorled signifying she hasn't had a child but has mothered many. Facial features are etched and filled with jet paste, conveying wisdom. Their beautiful shawls are intricately incised for fringe detail. Dresses are adorned with either blue turquoise or red coral. About 4" tall, 4" wide and 1 1/4" deep.
