Windy Day Maiden

The month of March generally produces changes in temperature both in the atmosphere and on the ground. Surges of warm air followed by powerful blasts of cold air produce gusty winds. Claudia Peina's lovely chrysocolla Maiden is out on a breezy day as beautifully incised hair flows in the wind. Facial features are etched and filled with jet paste. Red coral inlays represent earrings, a strong voice, a naja necklace, plus clothing and boot accents. We love the perhaps grain stalks or feather etchings on her warm shawl or blanket. Approximately 2 3/4" tall, 2" wide and 5/8" deep.
