A tiny turquoise
Turtle, by Ray Tsalate, reminds us that home is where the shell is, or for us humans - where the heart is. The small carving is magnificently shaped with an impressive shell and bright eyes of lapis. learned the art of fetish carving from his partner Troy Sice in 2004. Since then Ray has won numerous awards and show ribbons, including a 2009 fellowship with the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian.
