Butterflies dance in the air never far off from the first blooms in our summer gardens. Once an earth bound caterpillar, they miraculously metamorphous to a sky creature delighting us with their light movement and colorful beauty. Jerrold Lahaleon, Jr.'s butterfly brings that message of transformation and hope. Eyes are from turquoise and little antennae are from jet. A Picasso marble body is overlaid with sections of hand-cut turquoise, jet, gold lip shell and mother-of-pearl. Gorgeous wings are further accented with turquoise inlays. A collectible insect at about 2" long, 1/2" wide and 1" tall.
