Clive Hustito's protective Bear sculpted from gorgeous sodalite is part of the Six-Directions with a specific color and animal associated with each one. Long ago the Father of Medicine Societies, Po-shai-an-kia established predatory animals as guardians of the Six Directions who are healing and protective. The turquoise-eyed bear whose assigned color is blue is one of the Six Directional animals including a jet (black) Mole, a spiny oyster shell (white) Wolf, a spiny oyster shell (red) Badger, a serpentine (yellow) Mountain-lion and a Picasso marble (many-colored) Eagle. Dimensions in their entirety are approximately 6 1/4" long, 2 3/4" wide and 4 5/8" tall. Clive's initials are incised on the hip region of the great bear with a raised paw.
