Exquisite details abound in Rosella Shack's rich green marble Turtle. Turquoise inlays are harmoniously surrounded by dazzling sgraffito etchings. At their center is a traditional Zuni Sunface symbol inlaid from turquoise, pipestone, jet and mother-of-pearl. The reptile's eyes and claws are inlaid with turquoise as well. Turtles have a rain association in Zuni Pueblo. About 3" long, 2 3/8" wide and 1/2" tall.
