Hummingbird has been carved from sodalite to a size of approximately 2" tall, 7/8" wide and 2 3/4" long. We're adoring its nectar-sipping beak and sweetly etched plumage. In Aztec mythology the hummingbird represents the powerful sun and war god Huitzilopochtli who was conceived after his mother caught hummingbird feathers falling from the sky. These falling feathers were the soul of a warrior.
