Erma Kalestewa Homer's natural clay and mineral pigments pottery is a small replica of a traditional outdoor oven seen in Zuni and other Pueblos, sometimes called an horno. In Zuni, the oven is called hebok'onne which refers to the convex shape of the mud used in making the structure. Erma placed little clay bread loaves called hebok'o:muwe inside. A small painted wood paddle is included. The outside of the oven is decorated with Deer. About 2 3/8" long, 2 3/8" wide and 1 3/4" tall. Signed by the artist.
