Carver Travis Nieto comes from the greater Natewa, the late Dallas Quam and Panteah family of extended Zuni artists. His brother Frank Nieto is also an accomplished animal carver as well. Travis has sculpted a small Coyote (Wolf or Fox) from Picasso marble swirling with sagebrush-green hues to a howling size of approximately 1 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and 1 1/4" tall. A piercing gaze from turquoise inlays calls to stars on a moonlit Zuni night.
