Scaled Quail

A darling scaled quail chick already has a nice topknot as it pecks here and there, closely following its parents around a sagebrush canopy. Fabian Tsethlikai carves wonderful quails like this roughly 1 3/4" tall, 5/8" wide and 1 1/4" long Picasso marble feathered friend. Alert eyes are from turquoise inlays, while wings and tail plumage are simply etched. Quails are sweet birds that bring pure joy to our lives.
