Taking a moment of rest and reflection, Douglas Martza's lovely stag Deer is carved from onyx, with legs folded beneath its body and long ears listening intently. Leadership is one of the attributes connected to the stag. A good leader has the ability to listen with empathy, taking time to be silent and allowing room for others. This turquoise-eyed ruminant is approximately 2 1/2" long, 3/4" wide by 1 5/8" tall. An elegantly carved black lip shell point sits beneath turquoise, red coral, and sodalite beads forming the offering bundle thanking a deer for its animal medicine and reminding us that you don't need to be loud to lead.
