Animal: Owl, Material: Clay
This offering is sold.

Earlene Bowannie's natural clay and pigments mother Owl is accompanied by her owlet. They're skillfully hand-coiled and sweetly hand-painted. We love the layered plumage and bright-eyed spirit of each raptor. The Zuni Pueblo People refer to an owl as the “Night Grandfather" perhaps because like a wise elder, an owl uses knowledge and good judgment seeing what others cannot. Measurements of this wonderful bird family are about 3 1/2" tall, 2 1/2" wide and 2 3/4" deep. Signed by the artist.
