Picasso Marble Lioness

By Eddington Hannaweeke

Animal: Lioness, Material: Picasso Marble
This offering is sold.

Female lions are called lionesses. They are not as large as the males but can reach weights of around 300 pounds. They are the primary hunters because they are smaller and agile compared to males. After a successful hunt, all the lions in the pride share the bounty with the adult males eating first, followed by the lionesses and finally the cubs. Eddington Hannaweeke's Picasso marble lioness (or a Mountain-lion) is focused on the hunt through turquoise inlaid eyes. Intricate etching provides fur detail. A gorgeously carved turquoise point offering is secured. About 3 3/4" long, 7/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall.

Our Keshi gallery will be hosting Eddington Hannaweeke for an Artist Reception during Market Weekend in Santa Fe, NM on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 10 am to 5 pm.
