This offering is sold.
Peacock ore is a mineral known for its iridescent tarnish, occuring in copper deposits. Found all over the world, it was first described in 1725 after being noted in the mountains of the Czech Republic. Restoring physical harmony is one of the many qualities it's said to call up. Clayton Panteah's dazzling Owl showcases the metallic-like royal blue, teal, orange and purple-hued splendor associated with this ore also known as bornite. Smoothly carved facial features include twinkling cultured opal inlaid eyes. About 3 1/4" tall, 1 1/2" wide and 2 1/4" deep.
