Natural clay and paints from the sacred Zuni mountains were collected and processed by renowned potter Anderson Jamie Peynetsa to create a nicely-sized hooting Owl. Exquisitely painted plumage is layered like velvety-soft downy feathers overlaid with an airy Dragonfly companion. Sculptural clay appliqué seen on the precious wings, tail feathers, open beak and tufts demonstrate wondrous dimensionality in clay. Approximately 6" tall, 6 1/2" wide and 5 7/8" deep.
