The lengthening of days and warmer temperatures lets this brown
Bear know that it is time to journey from its den and begin the long season of beautiful days. Fred Bowannie, Jr. sculpted this bruin from a stone found in Nutria on Zuni pueblo. The stone is weighty for its size and has the distinctive red hue of iron letting us know there is a high level of hematite. This little friend is about 1 5/8" tall and 1 3/4" long with an over sized personality and sweet inlaid pen shell eyes.
