Mary C. Lovato is an award-winning Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo jeweler, extremely popular for her enticing mosaic shell work, this time expressed in an exciting pair of earrings! We see growing corn stalks in sterling silver, precious pieces of natural red coral, turquoise, jet, gold lip shell and abalone, all carefully arranged and set atop a bed of shell. Historically, Pueblo people were farmers and corn was their main staple. Corn is respected and valued. Including earring fixture, these highly collectible earrings are about 2 1/8" long and 1 3/8" at widest part, convex. Signed by the artist.
