Hopi Hemis Mana Katsina originated at Jemez Pueblo and is considered a rain-bringer to ensure a good harvest. Carved from traditional cottonwood, Acoma and Hopi Pueblo artist Alvin Leon applied colorful acrylic paints to this intricate woodwork. Other embellishments include soft leather, Rabbit fur and embroidery thread. Including the base, measurements are approximately 4 3/8" tall, 2 1/4" wide and 2" deep. Signed by the artist.
