By Erma Kalestewa Homer

This offering is sold.

Erma Kalestewa Homer's natural clay and and mineral pigments pottery is a small replica of the traditional outdoor ovens seen in Zuni and other Pueblos, sometimes called hornos. In Zuni, the oven is called hebok'onne which refers to the convex shape of the mud used in making the structure. The outside of the oven is painted with Deer and perhaps a Rainbird or a roadrunner. Dimensions of this small treasure are about 1 1/4" long, 2" wide and 2" deep. Signed by the artist.
