Ladybugs are beneficial beetles who actually hibernate in groups in protected places like tree bark, under leaves and rocks. Not all ladybugs are red and black either. Their hard outer wings can be yellow or even black and come in a variety of neat patterns. Georgette Quam Lunasee and Reynold Lunasee's cheery little ladybug is carved from apple coral and jet, accented with both turquoise and jet inlays. Permanently and happily eating aphids off a gorgeous matrix-rich turquoise leaf, measurements in their entirety are about 2 3/8" long, 1 1/4" wide and 5/8" tall.
