This offering is sold.

Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez is well-known for carving wonderful Corn-Maidens. In fact, her late aunt Faye Quandelacy was the first to carve Corn Maidens in small, table top form in the early 1980's, spawning a family tradition. Kateri's small Corn Maiden from angelite is adorned with etched stars and lapis cabochons. Facial features are from etched gold lip shell filled with jet paste. She carved her first Corn Maiden when she was about 10 years old. About 1" tall, 7/8" wide and 3/4" deep.
