Nothing says "the American West" like tumble weeds and buffalo. Actually tumble weeds are an invasive species native to dry areas through out Europe and central Asia, and buffalo are found in Africa and Asia. The animals that are endemic to and iconic symbols of the American West are a different animal completely. We don't have buffalo, we have Bison.
Salvador Romero brought us this bison carved from a rosy stone he found while walking the lands around his home in Cochiti Pueblo. Rendering it in all its iconic glory Salvador has found and released the spirit of the bison from within the stone. About 5 1/4" long, 1' wide, and 2 3/4" tall.
