Hopi Fly Girl Miniature Katsina Doll

Adrian Leon is a wonderful katsina doll carver for over 40 years creating exquisitely-detailed pieces at surprisingly affordable prices. We asked him what is the meaning of the Katsina dolls and he generously shared that "They represent everything in the universe. Whatever we can think of, there is a dancer for that. Every time I sell these dolls I say a prayer that wherever they go, let them heal whoever has problems, or let their town become peaceful and gain what they need because they do have strong power." His latest offering is a cottonwood and acrylic painted Hopi Fly Girl Katsina doll standing at approximately 2 1/4" tall, 1 1/8" wide and 1" deep, measurements include the base. Intricate details are astonishingly created with feathers, leather, thread. Signed by the artist.
