In ancient Japanese ways, traditional trickster Kitsune foxes are a type of yōkai, a class of supernatural creatures with paranormal abilities like metamorphosis. They have as many as nine tails, the greater number of them means an older and more mighty creature. After becoming a 1,000 years of age and gaining a ninth tail, a Kitsune transforms to a white or golden color becoming a tenko or a heavenly celestial fox, the most powerful Kitsune. Daryl Shack, Sr.'s Fox pairing has been carved from two separate portions of a gorgeous onyx. They have magical eyes from cultured opal inlays. Together, dimensions of this celestial canine pairing are about 3" long, 1 3/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall.
