Bison is a beauty carved from a gorgeous specimen of septarian nodule with a large portion of the carving consisting of crystallized calcite. Often geologist interchange the word concretion in place of nodule, a word that in Latin carries the meaning of growing together. The term refers to the development of the septarian stone but in combination with this special carving, it can be a wonderful reminder of our ability to grow together by supporting one another and sharing in our abundance, whatever form that it may take. The buffalo with turquoise eyes and horns measures about 3 3/4" long, 1" wide and 2 1/4" tall.
