David Chavez carved this powerful Mountain-lion from a pleasing piece of jasper. In Zuni, Mountain-lion carvings are traditionally used when hunting large game because mountain lions are proficient and stealthy hunters, but they are also carried as a protector when traveling. With inlaid turquoise eyes and golden coloring, this strides confidently at approximately 2 5/8"long, 5/8" wide by 3/4" tall.
