Dragonfly (Shumak'olo:wa) is the messenger who carries prayers to Spirit World. Dragonfly is a skilled aerial acrobat, and like the mind, can move quickly in any given direction to accomplish its goal. Being mindful of dragonfly can help us guide us to our own positive and transcendent goals. Peter Sohappy carved these four messengers from four different found stones and attached graceful strips of white suede leather with white beads creating the heads and antennae. The smallest of the group is 1 1/4" long an d3/4" wide. The largest is 1 1/4" long and 1 1/8" wide.
