Forest Blue Bird

A small bluebird (or perhaps a piñon jay) takes a peak over its back to see if anyone else noticed the cache of pinon seeds for the taking.  Carved from bright blue sodalite stone with terrific grey inclusions, Gilbert Bowannie's pocket ready bird is ready to accompany you on the journey ahead. Big eyes are made from jet inlaid into turquoise while feather details are etched into the smooth surface. This little happy bird measures about 2" long, 1" wide by 1 1/4" tall.
