Carved in the traditional old-style, Frankie Poblano Chattin's Mountain-lion (panther, puma or cougar) has a long tail up and over its backside. Frankie comes from the greater Teddy Weahkee (d) family of Zuni artists. His parents are well-known jewelers and carvers Jovanna Poblano and Daniel Chattin. Frankie's approximate 5 1/4" long, 2" wide by 2" tall serpentine carving carries an offering bundle of coral, turquoise, shell and tourmalated quartz beads on top of a spiny oyster shell arrow point. The rich green serpentine body is smooth and curvy with bright blue inlaid turquoise eyes.
