Ethiopian Opal Necklace

By Dillon Cheama

This offering is sold.
Self-taught artist Dillon Cheama is inspired by his mother Joanne Cheama and young Albuquerque jewelry artists who are creating interesting and innovative chains. He's focused on building a signature style that includes distinctive chains with special details. Dillon is well on his way with an otherwordly sterling silver necklace that hosts intricate petit point bezels housing precious Ethiopian opal cabochons surrounded by tiny twisted silver borders and flower accents. The stunning opals are found in volcanic rocks. The handmade necklace features a stunning chain with double jump rings that allow for a wonderful sinuous movement. A lobster clasp closure is a lovely finishing touch. The must-have necklace is approximately 21 1/2" long. The center pendant stations together measure about 2 7/8" long and 1" wide. The complimenting side stations are in the neighborhood of 1 1/4" long and 1" wide. Signed by the artist.
