Gentle in nature, fascinating armadillos play a beneficial role on Mother Earth. They regulate insect populations helpful to gardens and landscapes. They're also unique in that they are the only mammals with protective shells of small bony plates. The Panteah's darling armadillo is approximately 1 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and 5/8" tall. Lookout eyes and a tiny heartline or breath path are from turquoise. Clayton Panteah does the fine inlay work while his wife Abby does the carving. The turquoise specimen is on the subtly greener side in hue with splotches of handsome matrix and a very light peppering of pyrite.
