Pueblo cultures revere corn by giving dances in gratitude for a bountiful crop. A carved mother-of-pearl, red, orange and purple spiny oyster shells, black lip shell, turquoise and gold lip shell
corn necklace is elegantly handmade by Zuni jeweler Tracey Bowekaty. Colorful lapis lazuli, malachite, red coral and alunite inlays adorn the individual vegetables that are housed in lovely settings from sterling silver husks and three ball elements. The fabulous necklace is about 23" long, while the individual corn stations come in at approximately 7/8" long, 3/4" wide and 1/8" deep. Signed by the artist.
