Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez is beloved for carving Corn-Maidens, Mothers, Maiden Grandmothers and Grandmothers. Kateri's late aunt Faye Quandelacy was the first to carve Corn Maidens in small, table top form in the early 1980's, spawning a family tradition. Kateri's double-sided Corn Maiden and Grandmother from Campitos turquoise has etched and filled with jet paste facial features. A red coral cabochon adorns them. About 2 1/8" tall, 1" wide and 3/4" deep.
